Login via SSO (Single Sign-On)

Retriever offers login via SSO (Single Sign-On) with Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD).

What is SSO?

SSO means you can use the same login credentials across multiple systems. If your company has SSO enabled, you can sign in to Retriever’s platform using your regular company account – the same email address and password you already use for tools like Teams, Outlook, or your intranet.

Benefits of SSO

  • Simplified login: Users don’t need to create separate accounts or remember new passwords.
  • Increased security: Login takes place through your company’s own security setup (e.g., two-step verification or multi-factor authentication).
  • Less administration: Users are managed centrally through your company’s domain, making it easy to add or remove people from the Retriever platform.

Technical information

SSO is connected via your company’s domain in Microsoft Entra ID and requires configuration from both Retriever’s and the customer’s side.

Configuration

Start by providing us with the domain(s) that should be connected to SSO (e.g., retriever.se) and specify which Retriever account users should belong to when logging in.

Approve access in Microsoft Entra ID

To activate SSO, an administrator for Microsoft Entra ID at your company needs to approve Retriever’s access. This can be done easily by:

  • Going to the Retriever Login page. Entering your email address (no password required) and clicking Login
  • A page will appear asking you, as an administrator, to grant Retriever access – click Accept to complete the configuration

Once everything is set up, you can test by logging in with your email address only – you should automatically be redirected to your company’s login page or, in some cases, signed in directly to Retriever.

This approval is required for Retriever to retrieve the necessary information for the SSO login to function correctly.here.
