What is media quality and 'visibility score'?

Media quality, sometimes referred to as media index or Visibility Score, is exclusively used for our qualitative media analyses conducted by our media analysts.

It is a quality measure based on well-established factors for recall in media and combines visibility and tonality/tone for the subject of analysis. These factors are weighted based on empirical studies, and the result is presented on a scale from -100% to +100%. It is reported as an average and can be broken down within different areas of publicity. A +100% value suggests that all media consumers have noticed the subject of analysis, and the tone of the article is positive. -100% indicates that all media consumers have noticed the subject of analysis, and the tone of the article is negative.

What constitutes a good or normal value for media quality naturally varies among different entities and industries. To make truly relevant comparisons, statistics over time are needed. However, even from the initial analysis, the metric serves as a good indicator of the quality of the subject of analysis's publicity.
