SNI codes are industry codes that companies themselves register with Statistics Sweden (Statistiska Centralbyrån) to report which industry they belong to. It is based on the companies themselves choosing the industry they belong to or selecting the industry that best matches their operations.
Our own industry classification can be seen as a good alternative to the SNI codes and is based on manually sorting companies into main industries and sub-industries.
